About Lurchers

Lurchers are sight hounds,eg greyhounds, whippets or deerhounds, that have been crossed with another breed of dog. Lurchers have similar natures to greyhounds, and there are several types of lurcher, depending on which breed the greyhound are crossed with. Two of the popular types of lurcher are greyhound/saluki, which usually have short coats, and greyhound/deerhound, which are rough haired.
